NAPLES - The situation of refugees in Europe, the flows affecting Mediterranean society, inter-cultural relations in the area, the search for a political dialogue and a joint Euro-Mediterranean policy on migration are some of the issues on the agenda of the annual Imiscoe conference, the European network of academics and researchers dealing with migration to be held in Barcelona on July 2-4.

The conference, the network's 15th annual event, vies to discuss migration as an opportunity to connect societies and cities in Europe. It aims to promote dialogue between academics and policy makers to open a forum of discussion, connecting the Mediterranean to studies on migrations.

During the two-day event, studies on trans-nationalism, solidarity, diaspora and development will be discussed together with principles like human rights, democracy and liberalism.

Twenty researchers from Mena countries will participate.
